Medical / Scientific Advisor
On behalf of Bayer A/S, we are searching for a Field based Medical/Scientific Advisor for Denmark
The Medical Advisor will act as a scientific expert between Bayer and the medical community through the dissemination and education of scientific data and material. EstablishIng long term scientific/strategic relationships with key, influential physicians/scientists/stakeholders and with related major medical associations and academic centers of excellence. These relationships will ensure that thought leaders and organizations have access to relevant scientific information and that pertinent information is shared with the medical community.
The Medical Advisor will use experience and knowledge to interact with key external medical and pharmacy professionals through the process of education via one-on-one interaction; small group discussion and symposia lecture presentations including interactions associated with sponsored medical education programs and research protocols.
The Medical Advisor will facilitate thought leader involvement in national, regional, and local educational forums including advisory boards, symposia, and Continuing Medical Education.
The Medical Advisor will serve as an important partner to internal stakeholders within Bayer by communicating relevant market and medical information to key cross-functional partners.
Location: Denmark / Field based
Key Responsibilities:
- Driving and implementing medical strategy.
- Collaborating, aligning medical objectives and priorities in alignment with strategy.
- Accountable for developing strategic perspective and strong understanding of market strategies and healthcare landscape to anticipate business and customer/stakeholder needs and shape plans accordingly.
- Accountable for keeping abreast with latest scientific research, on therapeutic area and competitors.
- Establishing strong partnerships with stakeholders.
- Providing scientific contributions to development and implementation of national, regional and local medical educational programs.
- Supporting clinical trial team on trial specific subjects.
- Responsible for documenting and process medical Information queries.
Work relations:
The Medical Advisor will be expected to work closely with all Bayer key functions relating to the position and external stakeholders including Professional Societies, Ethic and Regulatory Authorities, thought leaders and investigators.
Qualifications:
- B.Sc. / M.Sc. in medicine, natural sciences, or pharmacology.
- Work experience in pharmaceutical organization, dealing with drug information, clinical research and development, or other clinical related activities.
- Basic knowledge of therapy area Cardiorenal and/or Endocrinology with focus on Diabetes Mellitus.
- Track record of successfully dealing with internal / external stakeholders to develop coherent strategy/ approach or to gain support on key issues.
- Successfully led workstreams / projects and organized scientific engagement platforms and events.
- Experience in learning and using digital technology to develop communications, brand / TA campaigns and/or conduct analysis of medical data and generate insights.
- Influencing, building trust, credibility and seeking buy-in from peers / internal and external stakeholders, balance stakeholders and interpersonally savvy, proactively building relationships with relevant stakeholders
- Self-developing, fast learner with tech savvy – picking and applying new trends, practices, report engagements in MedCRM.
- Communicates effectively & manages complexity - shapes communication to audience.
- Driven to excel independently, drive outcome and impact by achieving meaningful thought leader interactions.
- Build and maintain strong relations, deliver customer centric solutions aligned with business objectives.
