About the position
The Field Medical Advisor is accountable for execution of the Nordic medical strategy and tactical activities, ensuring awareness and understanding of the disease area and Angelini products amongst key stakeholders in the hold Nordics. This role is pivotal in providing medical and scientific support to healthcare professionals and ensuring effective communication across the region.
This is an externally focused role and ability to travel is expected, primarily within Sweden but also internationally.
Key Responsibilities:
- External Partnership: Establish and maintain professional relationships with experts and academic centers; attend and contribute to scientific congresses, arrange advisory boards and round tables
- Medical Expertise: Provide accurate and scientifically supported information to healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, and relevant stakeholders. Prepare medical/scientific information on request. Being a medical expert in the cross-functional brand team
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (e.g., Medical Affairs, Sales, Marketing and Communication) and external partners to support strategic objectives
- Education & Training: Deliver presentations, facilitate communication, and provide medical education to healthcare professionals. Lead and coordinate training of internal stakeholders including onboarding programs for new employees
- Medical accuracy: Review and approve promotional and non-promotional material in accordance with local regulations and guidelines
- Data generation: Contribute to evidence generation by identifying evidence gaps by initiating, supervising and following up clinical trials and medical projects (internal and external collaborations), e.g. Ph IV, RWE, Observational, registry and epidemiological studies
- Insight generation: Actively gather and share customer insights to inform product medical strategies
- Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with ethical guidelines and governmental regulations
Who we are looking for
This role requires a proactive and collaborative individual with a strong background in medical affairs and strong understanding of the Nordics healthcare system. You should be capable of working in a fast-paced environment and have excellent communication skills to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Advanced University Degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, Life Science or equivalent (e.g. MD, PhD, MSc, PharmD, etc)
- Minimum of 5 years in the pharmaceutical industry from field focused roles including previous Medical Affairs experience
- Excellent written and spoken communication and presentation skills in English and Swedish
Experience in Neurology and/or Neuroscience will be considered an advantage
