We are looking for a senior Medical Affairs leader with 7–10 years of industry experience and strong expertise in metabolic and liver diseases. You bring solid knowledge of the Swedish healthcare landscape, regulatory and HTA requirements, and a proven ability to lead cross-functional collaboration in a launch environment.

The Role

As Senior Medical Advisor, you will lead medical strategy and pre-/launch activities in MASLD/MASH in Sweden. You will act as the medical expert in the field, providing strategic insights, driving scientific exchange, and ensuring strong cross-functional alignment to support successful market development.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the local medical operational plan aligned with regional strategy

• Act as the medical expert in MASLD/MASH, with deep understanding of patient pathways, diagnostics, treatment algorithms, and access landscape

• Build and maintain peer-to-peer relationships with thought leaders, HCPs, and investigators

• Lead scientific exchange and represent the company at key congresses and scientific meetings

• Support clinical trial activities, including site identification and investigator engagement

• Provide accurate and balanced responses to medical inquiries

• Review medical and promotional materials to ensure scientific accuracy and compliance

• Deliver scientific training to internal stakeholders

• Collaborate cross-functionally (Market Access, HEOR, Regulatory, Clinical Development)

• Gather and communicate field insights to inform medical and clinical strategy

Profile

• 7–10 years of experience in Medical Affairs within pharma/biotech

• Advanced degree in Life Sciences (MSc, PhD, PharmD, MD or equivalent)

• Experience in metabolic diseases and hepatology/gastroenterology preferred

• Strong understanding of Swedish regulatory, HTA, and healthcare systems

• Experience working in cross-functional and matrix environments

• Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment

• Fluency in Swedish and English

• Willingness to travel (up to ~50% during peak periods)
