Medical Advisor Rheumatology – Denmark / Norway
For a consultancy assignment at AbbVie we are seeking an experienced Medical Affairs professional as Medical Advisor Rheumatology in Denmark and Norway. In this role, you’ll shape and execute medical strategies that advance rheumatology therapeutic area and drive the delivery of innovative treatments to people living with rheumatic diseases.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement medical strategies and tactics for our Rheumatology portfolio in line with AbbVie’s priorities.
Build and maintain relationships with experts, healthcare professionals and academic centers.
Serve as scientific and medical expert in rheumatology to internal and external stakeholders.
Lead evidence generation by identifying evidence gaps and initiating, driving and/or supporting clinical trials and medical projects (internal and external collaborations). e.g., Phase IV, RWE, observational and registry studies.
Provide medical insights and input to cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, regulatory, market access and clinical development.
Review promotional materials and scientific communications to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards and internal guidelines.
Develop and deliver scientific presentations and medical education at meetings, conferences, symposia and arrange advisory groups.
Stay current with scientific literature, emerging trends, and the competitive landscape in immunology with focus on rheumatology.
Qualifications:
Advanced degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, or Life Sciences (MD, PharmD, PhD) or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years in Medical Affairs (e.g. MSL, Medical Advisor, Medical Manager).
Fluency (written, oral) in English and Danish language.
Experience working within the Nordic healthcare, regulatory and business environment.
Ability to build and maintain relationships by clearly and inspiringly communicating complex medical/scientific concepts to internal and key external stakeholders.
Proven leadership in cross-functional settings, integrating medical insights into business strategy.
Ability to navigate organizational structure and comply with internal processes and governance.
Strategic thinker with impact-focused and results-driven mindset, with a proven track record of developing and implementing medical strategies.
Strong planning and organizational skills, and the ability to get things done.
Strong self-leadership and team-player mentality.
Understanding clinical trial methodology and regulatory requirements; experience in protocol development and evidence generation is an advantage.
Strong ability to quickly learn and adapt to digital platforms and internal systems.
Comfortable with ambiguity and change in a dynamic environment.
